Jon Erickson will explain Elliptical Curve Cryptography. The talk will begin with the basics of the algebra of Elliptical Curves; point addition, point doubling, and point multiplication. Then finite field mathematics will be explained, progressing to Galios field mathematics, and the binary representation of polynomials in a 2^n field. Point addition and point doubling in Galios fields will be demonstrated, and different protocols such as Diffie-Hellman, ElGamal, and Menezes-Qu-Vanstone will be explained.
